EPA Regulations on small underground oil tanks "Equipment and Machinery that Contain Regulated Substances for Operational Purposes. Equipment and machinery that contain regulated substances for operational purposes, such as hydraulic lift tanks and electrical equipment, are excluded from today's regulations. These specific tank categories were deferred from regulation in the proposal, and the Agency requested comments on whether, and to what extent, these tanks should be subject to regulation under the UST program. Several responses to this request gave reasons why these tanks should not be regulated as USTs."

Front Cylinder Hydraulic Supply Hose Information Still have the original pressure hose on the front moveable cylinder for years? All it takes is a faulty safety latch and a broken hose to change someone's life forever... or possibly even end it.
Check your "Fore & Aft" Lifts Safety Legs & Latches now. We have all the available parts for them, and while you're at it, check that old oil pressure hose that may be weakened from age and hanging in pit waste for 10, 15 or 20 years. Because whatever is on that end of the lift is coming down as fast as the oil can spray from that hose when it breaks, and there's no telling when it will break. Hoses tend to break according to their own schedule, and the only way to prevent it from happening is to check it a couple times a year & change it if it's showing cracks, bulges or other tell-tale signs.
